FoundRae X Lobmeyr Inner Light Vase

Description

Founded in 1823 in Vienna, Lobmeyr has built a legacy based on their time honed glassmaking skills. Throughout the years, the family has continued to innovate, educate, and expand their creative vision. Lobmeyr has defined what a timeless table scape means as well as created lighting pieces that span centuries of cultural history. Lobmeyr glassware is first blown by mouth, then cut, engraved, and polished. Each individual product is the result of at least 18 caring hands. They have provided the glassware for royal households over the centuries, worked with illustrious designers such as Josef Hoffman and now, with FoundRae, marking their 200th year anniversary.

This crystal vase embodies the ideology of FoundRae and what inspired the entire collection. The bottom of the vase has our symbol of Inner light – the interconnected keys. Then as you move up the vase, are the elements – Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. Then our lexicons surround the middle – Our True Love Knot, Blossoms, Horseshoe, Arrow, and many more. Lastly, at the top and adorned with gold leafing, are our 10 Tenets - Strength, Karma, Dream, Protection, Wholeness, Passion, True Love, Resilience, Internal Compass, and Reverie.

Mind body soul

Three convergent rays of light, like paths, leading the ascent to higher thinking and a higher state of being. The three pillars of life: mind, body, and soul.

At the top of the paths are the three phases of the moon representing maiden, mother, and elder. I interpret it as a symbol of the generations of women that have come before us, the mothers of our mothers that have all fought, loved, and cried to get you to you. Our lunar legacy, our birth right to reach our full potential.

Snake

The snake is valued as a talisman of rejuvenation. The ouroborous, a snake eating its own tail, is an ancient symbol indicating wholeness.
