“Each symbol is a tool of self-discovery & self-expression.
Each wearer’s personal compilation is a way to help communicate more openly about how each of us got here as well as what we envision our next chapter to be, in order to inspire and to help not just ourselves, but each other & the next generation to live more fulfilling lives.
The resulting collection is highly personal yet charged with an energy and style that’s meant to empower & to be shared."
Authentic. Classic. Personal. Autobiographical.
These are a few of the words used to describe the Foundrae Collection, which is more than jewelry; they are modern heirlooms, ones that allow the wearer to express something of oneself to the world. The Foundrae collection is intended to become part of the wearer, a second skin, to be an expression of identity and of personal values.
And like all heirlooms, these pieces tell a story. The story they tell is both ancient-for what is more timeless than our personal quests for inner peace, for love, for strength as well as highly relevant.
The collection is founded on a lexicon of archetypal mythological and classical symbols with the intention of inspiring the wearer to take the wisdom passed down through generations and apply that to one’s own life. Foundrae is a reminder, one we wear against our hearts or on our hands, of our capacity for change and growth. When you wear one of these pieces, you are announcing to yourself and to the world that everything you want and everything you want to be is already inside you-all you have to do is claim it.
About Beth Bugdaycay
Foundrae was co-founded by husband and wife, Murat and Beth Bugdaycay in 2015. Each piece is based on a lexicon of symbols that Bugdaycay and her husband culled from different cultures and time periods. They create an inclusive language that not only appeals to the individuality of the modern consumer, but also celebrates a set of values greater than the value of gold itself.
Beth Bugdaycay is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Industry honors include her nomination for the 2019 “Emerging Designer of the Year” by the CFDA as the single jewelry designer, a recipient of the 2018 Town & Country Jewelry Award for “Breakthrough of the Year” and a Jewelers of America GEM Award nominee for the category of Retail Excellence in 2020.
