One of a Kind Gemstones, The Golden Hour
We are thrilled to announce the evolution of the FoundRae collection: a Collector’s Series comprising exclusively of one-of-a-kind pieces.
For this collection, IX MMXXIV (September 2024), I was inspired by the The golden hour, the period of daytime shortly before sunset, is also called the “magic hour” because in these colors of the setting sky there is a stillness & beauty that allows us to connect with the magic that resides in each of us. We chose the most beautiful variations of lilac sapphire, peach morganite, and pink tourmaline gemstones to reflect the colors of the setting sun to remind us of this internal magic.

Since we launched our new one-of-a-kind gemstone collector’s series this spring, we have been quietly collecting new stones for the launch of Golden Hour. We have continued our love affair with cushion-cut rectangular shapes and have seen every variation thereof. As I mentioned before, sourcing gemstones is like a treasure hunt. When a high-quality “rough” is unearthed, expert gemstone cutters asses each rough and determine the shape and cut that will maximize the size, color, quality, and market value of the finished gem. We work with only the finest, most trusted suppliers, and we begin the selection process by giving them a range of sizes, cuts, color hues, and quality standards that we are searching for. We then begin the dance of meeting with potential partners, viewing their inventories, and finally landing on our final selection. Each gemstone in our Collector’s Series comes with a certificate of authenticity stating its origin and ratings.
Padparacha & Purple Sapphire
Padparadscha, both fun to say and impossible to spell, is as rare and unique as its name. Padparadscha means comes from the Sinhalese word for 'lotus blossom,' representing its hue. This stone is actually a sapphire with a mix of orange and pink hues. This unique color is naturally scares and are often more uncommon than traditional blue sapphires
The Purple Sapphire shades mirror the dusky sky as the day fades into night. The unique violet hues are rare to find - rarer yet to ones that qualify for the AAA quality we require.

Pink Tourmaline & Peach Morganite
For the soft pink for the Pink Tourmaline stones, that represent the Golden Hours, meeting the AAA standard is even more important to us as the hue doesn’t forgive visible inclusions. Therefore, one can really appreciate the color without the distraction of visible flaws.
Peach morganite is a whisper of color and can be best appreciated in larger sizes. The color echoes the start of dusk when the light is bright but the hint of night is coming close.

The North Star Symbolism
Flanking the settings of the Rings and Pendant is the Fleur de Lis with stars

The North star is a fixed point in the sky - It is not the brightest or the biggest star, but it is the most steadfast. She was considered the calmer of storms; the guiding light of all souls which is why the Fleur de Lis was often used to symbolize it-this stylized lily represents serenity and rebirth, a blend of spiritual and geographic symbolism.
