The butterfly reminds us of the inextinguishable light we cherish – in ourselves, our soulmates, our children, our parents, our friends, our neighbors. The butterfly is a symbol of the knowledge that the light of the soul will always exist and that is the comfort we reach for in times of grief.It also celebrates the light of a newborn soul and reminds us that we must extend the same willingness to  nurture and grow our own light as we would a baby in our care.
