The idea of an expansive horizon, filled with opportunity...the rising sun, with its promise, inspired the symbolism of New Beginnings and the ombre gemstones of our Horizon heart slides and bands. How do we maintain that belief in ourselves and of our own potential for better days?

My father instilled in me a reservoir of optimism. I will never forget that every Saturday my dad would drive me downtown to a music school where I would spend my day in a “fame” type atmosphere. It was his way of telling me, weekly, that anything is possible. On the way there, we played 8 tracks and inevitably would always choose the same country artist (8 tracks were old and outdated even then!) As I looked out over the dashboard as the city skyline came into view, my favorite song spoke of blue skies. I hope you too can find a song that taps into the reservoir of optimism in all of us.
