Vivacity Small Mixed Clip Necklace Story in Yellow Gold with Diamonds

Description

Crafted in 18k yellow gold, our Vivacity Small Mixed Clip Necklace features a pair of pavé sister hooks – a pair of hooks fitted together so that one hook makes the other more secure. It’s often used when describing the button hooks on Victorian watch fobs, but really, we like anything that reminds us of “sisters” in the literal sense, or the idea of “sisterhood" in general.

Our Vivacity Oversized Medallion, in 18k yellow and white gold with pavé diamonds, features symbols that represent the Latin word vivacitas, or life force. The vivacity tenet encourages us to live a life filled with exploration, discovery, and learning. The plus and minus signs denote a French expression: qu'hier, que demain, meaning ''more than yesterday and less than tomorrow,'' a phrase that speaks to an ever-growing love and an ever-expanding life. Wings at the top of the medallion are signs to soar in spite of our doubts and fears. If not now, when?

This necklace can be worn 2 different ways:
1. As a 36" continuous chain
2. As a wrapped necklace

Ever Growing

This piece is derived from the Vivacity Tenet. Representing the accumulation of experiences that create more love, a larger heart, a fuller life, resulting in a treasured life that builds upon memory; today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow. Symbolic of ever-growing love, an ever-growing life, and each moment being a gift.

Plus & Minus

The plus and minus signs represent a French phrase: 'qu’hier, que demain', taken from the 1889 poem “L’Eternelle Chanson” by Rosamonde Gerard—“more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.” This beautiful sentiment is an homage to ever-growing love, an expansive heart, and the trove of a lifetime’s treasured memories.
