VivacityFeather and Safety PinYellow Gold

Description

Crafted in 18k Yellow Gold, the Feather and Safety Pin is part of Beth's Collection and represents our Tenet of Vivacity.

Each season, Founder and Creative Director Beth Hutchens chooses styles from the latest collection to pair with her signature jewelry.

Our Safety Pin is an accessory for your accessories. You can pin it to a blazer, a hat, a sweater, or any fabric and use it to wear any of your medallions or pendants in a completely new way. It's a small piece that opens the door to a whole new way to wear your jewelry, and comes in a classic safety pin style.

Here, it is paired with a Feather pendant. Representing Vivacity, the Feather encourages us to live a life filled with exploration, discovery, and learning. It symbolizes wings so we may take flight and soar even in the most daunting of times. If not now, when? The pendant includes a connector so it's easy to slip on and off or wear with other jewelry.

Vivacity

Vivacity comes from the Latin vivacitas meaning “life force”. The unwavering belief that life is beautiful, every moment a gift, is the cornerstone of living a life rich with exploration, discovery, and learning. Because tomorrow is not promised.

In order to create memories, we must be fully present wherever we are. Our willingness to embrace new experiences will determine how rich and meaningful our lives become. With wings we fly; limitless and invigorating.

Wings

Without wings, we cannot reach the limitless skies, the apex of our potential. These pieces are meant to be companions on your journey skyward, encouraging you to unfurl your wings even in the most daunting times. If not now, when?

Plus & Minus

The plus and minus signs represent a French phrase: qu'hier que demain, taken from the 1889 poem, "L'Eternelle Chanson" by Rosamonde Gerard - "more than yesterday and less than tomorrow." This beautiful sentiment is an homage to a generous heart and ever-growing love, a larger heart, and the accumulation of memories of a treasured life.

Seed

The symbolism of planting a single seed represents starting to create the life you want. All growth begins here - one action, one step.

Feather

Inspired by the “shield for peace” that belonged to Edward the Black Prince c. 1346. Feathers are a symbol of peace because they are associated with wings and birds, instruments of flight and ascendance. It’s time that we all rise.
