Reverie | ResilienceButterfly and Sparrow Screen Oversized Mixed Clip NecklaceMulti-Stone, Yellow Gold

Description

Crafted in 18k Yellow Gold and Gemstones, the Limited Edition Butterfly and Sparrow Oversized Mixed Clip Necklace is part of Beth's Collection and represents our Tenets of Reverie and Resilience. Each season, Founder and Creative Director Beth Hutchens chooses styles from the latest collection to pair with her signature jewelry.

The story begins with the Oversized Mixed Clip Chain, a beautifully crafted convertible chain that can be worn in 3 different ways: as an 18" continuous necklace, a 16" chain with drop extension, or as a 16" continuous chain.

The necklace features two Limited Edition medallions, inspired by decorative screens. The first, the Butterfly Screen medallion is inspired by the carefree essence of summer, when the days feel so long and endless that we’re lost in our own Reverie. Our symbol for Reverie is the butterfly. An inextinguishable soul, always drawn to the light, the butterfly reminds us to seek out what lights us up. To find our joy. Knowing that there are still beautiful things in this world available to us in a limitless supply feels magical.

Our other Limited Edition Mother of Pearl medallion features the Sparrow, which is one of our symbols for Resilience because it is a pictorial representation of its homophone "Spero", Latin for hope.

The feather is one of our symbols for Vivacity, which encourages us to live a life filled with exploration, discovery, and learning. The feather symbolizes wings so we may take flight and soar even in the most daunting of times. If not now, when?

Care Instructions

Our high-grade turquoise is a natural gemstone that is mostly stable but can be porous, and therefore prone to scratching. Due to its porosity, it should not be exposed to harsh chemicals, cosmetics, or oils, which can cause discoloration over time. For regular care, wipe the turquoise with a soft, clean cloth from time to time.

When storing turquoise jewelry, the piece should be kept in a soft cotton pouch or lined jewelry box to prevent it from being scratched by other pieces.

Turquoise should not be worn during physical activities, cooking, or cleaning. It can fracture if impacted.

When cleaning turquoise, it should be wiped with mild soap and water on a damp cloth and wiped dry immediately. Turquoise should not be soaked, and it should not be cleaned with an ultrasonic steamer.

Reverie

When we align our authentic selves with how we express our outer selves, we feel the joy of being alive. This harmony radiates outward for all to see, and our souls are free to soar like a butterfly.

The path to joy is often found through reverie, or daydreaming. Giving ourselves space to float between reality, fantasy, and memory helps us connect out conscious and our subconscious selves, so we can seek out what lights us up, and choose what animates us. The symbols of Reverie are intended to evoke joy, rather than just describe it.

Butterfly

The butterfly is a symbol of an inextinguishable soul; always drawn to light.

Triple Butterfly Triskele

Three winged souls of inspiration: Mneme (Memory), Aoide (Sing/Celebrate) & Melete (Study/Contemplate). Together they incite us to daydream, to create, to celebrate.

Spade

The spade represents the idiom "in spades". It's the energy catalyst, the initiator.

X

The roman numeral 10 or 'X' represents manifestation and completion
