Reverie Candle

Description

A woody, sensual scent with hints of spice and citrus that enliven your spirit, this candle represents our Reverie tenet. When we align our authentic selves with how we express our outer selves, we feel the joy of being alive. This harmony radiates outward for all to see, and our souls are free to soar like a butterfly.

The path to this joy is often found through reverie, or daydreaming. Giving ourselves space to float between reality, fantasy, and memory helps us connect our conscious and our subconscious selves, so we can seek out what lights us up, and choose what animates us. The symbols of Reverie are intended to evoke joy, rather than just describe it. What energizes you? What feeds your soul? Omne Bonum, from Latin: “all that is good.”

Key Notes: Grapefruit, Black Pepper, Coriander, Magnolia Flower, Cedarwood, Akigalawood, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Warm Ambers.

Candle Safety Instructions
  • To ensure your candle burns evenly and to minimize residue on the sides, allow the wax pool to reach the edge of the jar every time you light the candle. After each use, please trim the wick to ¼ inch. This essential step prevents soot and excessive smokiness the next time you light your candle.
  • Please don't burn your candle for more than four hours at a time, as this will shorten the candle's lifespan.
  • If you notice the flame becoming too large or flickering, put the candle out, let it cool, and trim the wick before relighting.
  • After each use, carefully extinguish the flame before replacing the lid.
  • Discontinue use when only ½ inch of wax remains, or if the candle will no longer stay lit - the glass may shatter.

Reverie

This piece is derived from the Reverie Tenet. Floating between reality, fantasy, and memory. Connect our conscious and unconscious. Seek out what lights us up. Seek what gives us energy. Elevated positive energy is the catalyst of change that allows us to reconnect and align with our souls to create joy. These symbols evoke, rather than just describe, Joy.

Spade

The spade represents the idiom "in spades". It's the energy catalyst, the initiator.

Butterfly

This butterfly is meant to celebrate the soul and what gives our life meaning. In celebration of our own soul’s search for the light of our life purpose, like the Myth of Psyche in Greek mythology, following her bliss. Aligning and Re-connecting with our Soul; the absolute, undeniable, irrevocable connection with our essence. They can represent the defiant shout that our soul is ours alone to fuel and fire.

It also celebrates the souls we cherish and keep close to us: a soul mate, our children, our parents. It is cathartic when grieving the loss of a beloved soul. It honors the birth of a new soul. In friendship, in love, in grief, in joy, for what is a soul but the metamorphosis of the individual from the divine; the beyond, between, and the after of everything this life encompasses. There is an end to life, but not of love.

Triple Butterfly Triskele

The three butterflies together represent three winged souls of inspiration: Mneme (memory), Aiode (Music) and Melete. Melete is harder to define-if you look up that ancient Greek word you’ll see many translations: practice/occasion/dance/ritual. But, I see it as that “thing” that is particular to you that gets you into the flow where time has no end and anything is possible. Whatever that “thing” is to you-drawing, meditation, art… It’s the “thing” that allows you to find yourself. To feed yourself. That’s Melete. Together those winged souls of inspiration: Music, Memory and “your thing”… Will incite you to daydream, to create, to celebrate, to feel the rapture of being ALIVE.
