This is a time to pause to have fun; spend time with loved ones, laugh at our own idiosyncrasies; develop our own syncopated rhythms. A warm smile, a rush of laughter, is like a rolling snowball. That laugh can change the texture of the air in the room and make it magical. Pause. Reflect. Live. Savor. & Celebrate!
Pause to Celebrate this Holiday Season!
Love is defined by all 7 Types... Philia: Friendship; Philautia: Self-love; Eros: Romantic Love; Agape: Universal love; Storge: The love between parents and children; Ludus: Playful love; Pragma: Love founded on duty & reason. Imagine each type of love as a slice of a pie. Sometimes we cut a bigger piece for our kids, for our lover, for our friends, and then we are left with a sliver of self-love or a sliver of playful love. It is important that we recognize that they are all equal, but we must remember that one person can’t give us all of it. That’s why we have a community of friends and family, our pairs of pears.
Give the Gift of FoundRae
Being seen for who we really are and being loved all the more for it... When you take time to really consider what someone will delight in receiving, not only does the recipient feel cherished, but they feel recognized. A pause for deep gratitude to those that have lit that flame inside us, our pairs of pears, because we need the glow, the warmth, the energy, the love, to live the life we were intended, and we cannot do that alone.
01. Eros: Romantic Love
Love that come from a partner, spouse, a boyfriend, a girlfriend... Eros can be compared to a flame that burns bright.
02. Storge: Familial Love
Storge can be described as a love between a parent and child, but also represented as unconditional love... relatives, siblings, parental figures, or chosen family.
03. Philia: Friendship
An affectionate, friendly type of love. A love integrated with friendship brings with it companionship, dependability, and trust.
04. Agape: Universal Love
A selfless and universal type of love, Agape is a love that is bigger than us. This can be for nature, a higher power, and a community love.
05. Ludus: Playful Love
A flirty, playful type of love... It only takes a spark to begin a journey of love.
06: Pragma: Dutiful Love
Pragma is a more practical type of love. Many long term relationships evolve to become a combination of storge and pragma. This can represent people who keep your village going.
07. Philautia: Self Love
Seventh but never least... Self Love. Philautia allows us to participate in the other types of love with resilience because we need to love ourselves first.

Seven Types of Love

Love is defined by all 7 Types... Philia: Friendship; Philautia: Self-love; Eros: Romantic Love; Agape: Universal love; Storge: The love between parents and children; Ludus: Playful love; Pragma: Love founded on duty & reason. Throughout some of our True Love pieces, you can find hints of "7". Maybe it's Roman Numerals, 7 stars, or 7 diamonds.
