ReverieButterfly Screen on Stone Exuberant MedallionTurquoise, Yellow Gold

Description

Crafted in 18k Yellow Gold and turquoise, the Limited Edition Butterfly Screen on Stone Oversized Medallion represents our Tenet of Reverie.

Every few months, we offer Limited Edition pieces that are only available for a few months and are exclusively sold at our retail stores and on the FoundRae website. These Limited Edition pieces will only be available until September 7th, 2026. And they won’t be made again. They’re available for a limited time but can be a part of your story forever.

This Limited Edition medallion is inspired by the carefree essence of summer, when the days feel so long and endless that we’re lost in our own Reverie. A place between reality, fantasy, and memory, where our conscious and unconscious minds can reconnect. Our symbol for Reverie is the butterfly. An inextinguishable soul, always drawn to the light, the butterfly reminds us to seek out what lights us up. To find our joy. Knowing that there are still beautiful things in this world available to us in a limitless supply feels magical.

There is no such thing as too much joy, or too much laughter.

The three butterflies together represent the three winged souls of inspiration: Mneme (memory), Aiode (music), and Melete. Melete is harder to define. If you look up the ancient Greek word you’ll see many translations: practice/occasion/dance/ritual. Our interpretation of Melete is that it is the “thing” that gets you into the flow where time has no end and anything is possible. Together, those three winged souls of inspiration incite you to daydream, to create, and to celebrate.

This medallion design was inspired by intricately carved decorative screens. The butterflies and blossoms are placed over a turquoise surface, so that the stone shows through the etched-out parts of the latticework.

Our pendants and medallions include an Annex Link in your choice of gold or pavé diamonds, designed to seamlessly attach to any chain and allow for easy customization.

Care Instructions

Our high-grade turquoise is a natural gemstone that is mostly stable but can be porous, and therefore prone to scratching. Due to its porosity, it should not be exposed to harsh chemicals, cosmetics, or oils, which can cause discoloration over time. For regular care, wipe the turquoise with a soft, clean cloth from time to time.

When storing turquoise jewelry, the piece should be kept in a soft cotton pouch or lined jewelry box to prevent it from being scratched by other pieces.

Turquoise should not be worn during physical activities, cooking, or cleaning. It can fracture if impacted.

When cleaning turquoise, it should be wiped with mild soap and water on a damp cloth and wiped dry immediately. Turquoise should not be soaked, and it should not be cleaned with an ultrasonic steamer.

Reverie

When we align our authentic selves with how we express our outer selves, we feel the joy of being alive. This harmony radiates outward for all to see, and our souls are free to soar like a butterfly.

The path to joy is often found through reverie, or daydreaming. Giving ourselves space to float between reality, fantasy, and memory helps us connect out conscious and our subconscious selves, so we can seek out what lights us up, and choose what animates us. The symbols of Reverie are intended to evoke joy, rather than just describe it.

Butterfly

The butterfly is a symbol of an inextinguishable soul; always drawn to light.

Triple Butterfly Triskele

Three winged souls of inspiration: Mneme (Memory), Aoide (Sing/Celebrate) & Melete (Study/Contemplate). Together they incite us to daydream, to create, to celebrate.
